Laurent Tissot is professor emeritus of contemporary history at the University of Neuchâtel. Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Studied at universities in Lausanne, London, and Paris. Former president of the Swiss Society for Economic and Social History; former member of the Research Council of the Swiss National Science Foundation, and former member and treasurer of the International Committee of Historical Sciences (CISH) and the Executive Board of the International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences (CIPSH). Main research topics: history of transport and mobility, tourism and leisure; history of industrialization (business history and regional history).

 

 

Véronique Mondou is a lecturer in geography at the University of Angers, at ESTHUA-INNTO, and affiliated with UMR ESO (CNRS 6590). Her research focuses on the relationship between tourism and transportation, addressing issues such as accessibility and tourism development, as well as the transformation of modes of transportation into tourism products (such as sea cruises, particularly in China).
